FD / EMS Training is a joint effort with four N. Trumbull County fire departments. In order to meet state requirements for our firefighters and emergency medical technicians we will be offering training at different departments.

Beginning in 2009 every person with Bristol Fire Department is required to attend 9 classes for which area they serve - 9 fire classes and 9 EMS classes. If one is a firefighter only, they are required to attend 9 fire classes during the year. If one is both a firefighter and EMT, they are required to attend 9 fire AND 9 EMS classes per year.

All firefighters are required by the state to also have 18 hours of fire training every year. These trainings will count towards that requirement.
